Mikkeller Rauch Geek Breakfast aka Beer Geek Bacon

From TFP – This beer is called Beer Geek Bacon in Denmark and other places, but in US, it is called Rauch Geek Breakfast. I’m sure this is due to great ABC laws, requiring a beer that says bacon on it to actually have bacon in it. Whatevs.

Mikkeller – Mikkeller Rauch Geek Breakfast aka Mikkeller Beer Geek Bacon – 1PT. .9 OZ bottle poured into a goblet. 7.5% abv. Purchased at Whole Foods Pasadena, CA

Appearance: Pours a midnight brown with a creamy, frothy tan head.

Aroma: Concentrated smoked malt, heavily roasted coffee, dark chocolate.

Taste: Smoked ham rind, coffee roast, burnt roast, dark chocolate, cracked black pepper, spicy hops.

Mouthfeel: Slightly creamy, prickles the back of the throat.

Overall: Amazing, complex, not real bacony, but amazing none the less.
