Mikkeller Beer Geek Breakfast

From Mikkeller – Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, many say, and if you are a beer geek there is no better way to start the day than with a powerful, complex morning stout. The unique mix of oats and coffee gives this beer large body and power, while the coffee, at the same time, creates a nice balance.

Appearance: Pours a midnight brown with a sturdy ring of khaki colored foam on top. The beer almost looks creamy or frothy.

Aroma: A nice, freshly prepared cup of coffee.

Taste: Acidic, medium roasted coffee and roasty malts.  Some chocolate sweetness goes in between the coffee bitterness.

Mouthfeel: A silky smooth texture.

Overall: The best coffee stout I have had to date.  Really impressive, and gets better once it hits room temperature.
