Magic Hat Demo

From Magic Hat – Demo is a deliciously dark lick of an India Pale Ale. It’s medley of roasted malts and heady hops will have your senses dancing to the beat of a different IPA.

Magic Hat Brewing – Magic Hat Demo – 12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass. 6% abv.

Appearance:  Pours black with a persistant creamy tan head.

Aroma:  A little bit of wet dog, big roasted malt, vegetal notes and skunky Euro hops.

Taste:  Chocolaty roast, a quick citrus hop burst, then back to a long dark chocolaty finish.

Mouthfeel: Creamy, full bodied.

Overall: A decent hoppy porter and a not so good Black IPA. I think they’d have a hit if they knocked down the confusing hop profile and called it a robust porter.
