Lagunitas Undercover Investigation Shut-Down Ale

From Lagunitas – We brewed this especially bitter ale in dedication to all the world’s would-be astronauts, in remembrance of the 2005 St. Patrick’s Day Massacre on the Brewery Party Grounds and also in joyous celebration of our 20-day suspension that following January. Lagunitas Brewing – Lagunitas Undercover Investigation Shut-Down Ale – 12 oz. bottle poured into a goblet. 9.75% abv.

Appearance:  Pours a brilliant copper with visible rising carbonation.

Aroma: Toast. Honey. Wheat chex.

Taste:  Toasty sweet malt, honey dew. Fast Euro hop spice.

Mouthfeel:  Full bodied. Prickly carb.

Overall:  Pretty darn drinkable for such a strong beer. A little too sweet for multiple servings, but very interesting and unique and definitely worth trying, and having now and again.
