Kuhnhenn Bourbon Barrel Fourth Dementia Old Ale
Here are some tasting notes for Kuhnhenn Bourbon Barrel Aged Fourth Dementia Old Ale. I actively pursued trying Kuhnhenn beers due to their big reputation of having some of the best beer in the world. One drawback, and a minor one at that, is that Kuhnhenn Brewing doesn’t have much in the way of label art or product descriptions that we can share with you. So don’t judge a book by it’s cover, they make outstanding adult beverages (beer, mead, gruit).
Kuhnhenn Brewing – Kuhnhenn Bourbon Barrel Aged Fourth Dementia Old Ale – 12 oz. bottle poured into a goblet. 13.5% abv.
Appearance: Pours a amber tinted brown. With only a ring of tan.
Aroma: Bourbon sweetness, ripe dark fruit, nouget, caramel, milk chocolate.
Taste: Brown sugar, alcohol, wood, burnt caramel, semi sweet chocolate. Finishes warm and boozy.
Mouthfeel: Full bodied. Meduim carbonation. Surprised this wasn’t as sticky or thick for being such a big beer.
Overall: An amazing treat that should probably be enjoyed as a sipper due to its strength and complexity.
