Kern River Pumpkin Ale

From Kern River – This fall seasonal ale is brewed with real pumpkin and a hint of allspice. It pours slightly orange in color with a light sweetness and spicy finish. This beer is no trick and all treat.

Kern River Brewing – Kern River Pumpkin Ale – 22 oz. bottle poured into a goblet. 6% abv. Purchased at Whole Foods Market Arroyo Pasadena, CA.

Appearance: Pours a bright amber orange with a retaining white head.

Aroma: Bready malt, pumpkin meat and potpuri.

Taste: Pumpkin pie spice, bready malt, very dry.

Mouthfeel: Prickly fizz. Medium bodied.

Overall:  A dry, simple, session-able pumpkin ale, if there is such a thing.
