Jackie O’s Wood Ya Honey

From Jackie O’s – We took a decadent Honey Wheat Wine and placed it into a woodford reserve bourbon barrel 4 months ago. Tipping the abv scales at 12%, Wood Ya Honey is a a beer to be savored. Flavors of caramel, honey, vanilla, wood, and bourbon intermingle creating a crimson colored delight.

Jackie O’s Pub and Brewery – Jackie O’s Wood Ya Honey – 22 oz. bottle poured into a goblet. 12% abv.

Appearance: Pours a murky amber with a frothy white film for head.

Aroma: Bit o honey and bourbon (vanilla, caramel and musty wood).

Taste: Burnt sugar, bit o honey, bourbon, grassy hops with a boozy finish.

Mouthfeel: Full bodied with modest carbonation.

Overall: Very yummy, while big and sweet, didn’t come across as messy, but rather decadent and luxurious.
