Hoppin Frog Frog Hops From Amager

From Hoppin’ Frog – This is the 3rd. Collaboration Brew from this year’s European Tour Series, and was developed with Amager Brewery in Copenhagen, Denmark.  At 7.8% abv, it is rich, hoppy and balanced.  Frog Hops is made with an abundance of English and German malts, including the super-tasty German chocolate malt!  And it is hopped with select American hops, including dry-hopping.

Hoppin’ Frog Brewery- Hoppin Frog Frog Hops From Amager – 22 oz. bottle poured into a goblet. 7.8% abv.

Appearance:  pours dark brown and no head.

Aroma:  Dark chocolate, citrusy hops. Lots of orange.

Taste:  Grapefruit hops, pepper dark chocolate,cold espresso.

Mouthfeel:  Medium bodied. Average carbonation.

Overall:  A great hoppy stout. This and the second of the series were very strong showings.  I would drink this fresh if given the choice, so snatch it up now.
