Look for a subtle, “roasty” wood character that perfectly complements this extrAARGHdinary ale!

Heavy Seas – Mutiny Fleet Plank I: Olde Style English Ale – 22 oz. bottle poured into a goblet. 8% abv. Thanks to Franny

Appearance:  Pours a dark amber with a swirly white film atop.

Aroma: Booze and sugar. Apple crisp. Wood.

Taste: Bitter hops, caramel malt and wood. Finishes with alcohol.

Mouthfeel: Sticky and hot.

Overall: While nearly a year old when I opened it, it could use another year of resting. It’s very hot, but has promise.
