Green Flash Palate Wrecker
From Green Flash – Palate Wrecker was originally brewed for the Hamilton’s Tavern 2nd Anniversary celebration. It’s the most complicated West Coast–style IPA we have ever brewed— mashing and sparging with hopped wort, in addition to our hop layering regimen for IPA. By popular demand, it is now released for the world to enjoy. 9.5% ABV | 100+ IBUs
Green Flash Brewing – Green Flash Palate Wrecker – 22 oz. bottle poured into a goblet. 9.5% abv.
Appearance: Pours a brilliant amber with a lasting cap of white froth.
Aroma: Candied orange/grapefruit, toffee, pine, dank as hell .
Taste: Toffee like malt, grapefruit. Like im chewing a mouthful of hops. Goes from citrus to pine to super bitter. Coats your entire mouth with lingering bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Active spicy carbonation, slightly analgesic, full bodied.
Overall: I love this beer, I could drink it forever. Better than the regular Imperial IPA, which has been an old favorite of mine as well.

Hey Chris,
Putting it under the mouthfeel, and at the time I was tasting it,I would compare it to when you would take something like an asprin, that would partially melt before swallowing, where you would get a bit of a numb tongue or cheek.
Cheers,
DFP

Seeing “analgesic” in a beer description calls to mind hospitals and medicinal off-flavors. Did you mean to connote something other than just mouth-numbness, or were you just reaching for a more sesquipedalian review this time?
