Great Divide Peach Grand Cru

Great Divide Brewing – Great Divide Peach Grand Cru – 750 ml. bottle poured into a goblet. 12% abv.
Appearance: Pours bright amber with a thin white film a top.
Aroma: Sweet canned peach , slight spices and some sweet Belgian like malt.
Taste: Sweet golden ale, some Euro hop spice, evenly balanced peach fruit. A little vanilla wafer.
Mouthfeel: Full bodied modest carbonation.
Overall: I was a little timid going into this beer. I was looking for an overly sweet strong Belgian golden, and what I got was a perfectly balanced, dangerously drinkable ale with realistic tasting peach. Great job. Hope to see this again, and wonder if Great Divide is up to the task of changing out the fruit and keeping the base beer for some variant action.
