Goose Island Matilda 2010
From Goose Island – Brewmaster Greg Hall developed Matilda for seasoned craft beer and wine drinkers to enjoy at the dining table or for casual socializing at the bar. Like others in the Goose Island lineup, such as Bourbon County Stout and Pere Jacques, the flavor of Matilda evolves as it ages and continues to develop over time.
Goose Island – Matilda Vintage 2010 – 12 oz. bottle poured into a goblet. 7% abv. Purchased at Beverages and More, Pasadena,CA.
Appearance: Pours a beautiful orange amber with a white pin stripe.
Aroma: Fruity spicy yeast.
Taste: Apple juice, clove and bitter spicy hops and yeast.
Mouthfeel: Thick, syrupy and fizzy.
Overall: A pretty mellow beer. I’ve had this on tap at a Chicago airport and remember it being more vibrant.
