Appearance: Pours a dark amber with a hazy body and a decent off white head.

Aroma: Citrus piney hop bouquet. A little spicy too.

Taste: Piney grapefruit melange. Spicy. Sweet caramel like malt holding it together. There’s nice bitterness in the aftertaste, that draws you in.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Overall: This beer is exactly as advertised: a drinkable California hoppy ale. It’s very balanced, and has just the right amount of malt for those scared of something like Stone Ruination.
