Fullers Vintage Ale 2009
From Fullers – Vintage Ale is a truly distinguished bottle-conditioned ale, crafted by Fuller’s Head Brewer, John Keeling. Each vintage is a blend of that year’s finest malt and hops, and of course our unique yeast, creating a unique limited edition brew.
Fullers Vintage Ale 2009 – 500 ml bottle poured into a goblet. 8.5% abv. (Image shows 2007 Vintage. Same art, different year printed on it for 2009)
Appearance: Pours a dark, clear amber with a decent, sudsy white head.
Aroma: Pear, caramel, vanilla, herbal hops, and a slight hint of booze.
Taste: Dry cocoa,milk chocolate,bitter and herbal hops, plum, apple and dark booze.
Mouthfeel: Thin and fizzy.
Overall: Magnificent, a true classic. It smelled so good, it took me 15 minutes before taking my first sip.
