Flying Dog Pearl Necklace Oyster Stout

From Flying Dog – A dry stout brewed with local Rappahannock River Oysters, Pearl Necklace was initially released as a limited edition brew last November.

Flying Dog Brewery – Flying Dog Pearl Necklace Oyster Stout – 12 oz. bottle poured into a goblet. 5.5% abv.

Appearance: Pours a dark brown with a tight tan film a top.

Aroma: Cola, Chocolate, euro dry hop.

Taste: Peppery roast, euro hops, light coffee, finishes bitter and roasty.

Mouthfeel:  Rough, full bodied.

Overall: A very tasty stout, not nearly as pronounced as some other oyster stouts I’ve tried in the body and flavor department.
