Flying Dog Brewing – Kerberos Tripel Poured from a 7oz bottle into a pint glass. 8.5% abv. Canis Major variety pack purchased at Dawsons Liquors in Severna Park, MD.
Appearance: Deep gold, slightly cloudy with very little head or lacing.
Aroma: Fresh-baked sourdough.
Taste: Tart at first, but not citrusy. The hops really come through on the finish.
Mouthfeel: Very effervescent for such a big beer. It’s a little off-putting.
Drinkability: I think that either I drank this too cold or tripel just isn’t my beer. I liked the big, hoppy finish very much, but the tartness and high carbonation don’t do much for me. Plus, I can’t stand the smell of sourdough. If you’re into those things, this will probably please you, however.
Plus, I’ve always thought it was spelled Cerberus.
