Elysian Night Owl Pumpkin Ale

From Elysian – Ale brewed with pumpkin & pumpkin seeds & fermented with spices. Our original pumpkin ale is brewed with over 7 lbs. of pumpkin per barrel and spiced in conditioning with nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, ginger and allspice.

Elysian Brewing – Elysian Night Owl Pumpkin Ale – 22 oz. bottle poured into a goblet. 5.9% abv

Appearance: Pours a dark amber with a thin white film.

Aroma:  Roasted pumpkin/squash. Perfume and flowers.

Taste: Pumpkin, wood, spices. Finishes slightly sour.

Mouthfeel: Full bodied with modest carbonation.

Overall:  The pumpkin and the spices were mutually exclusive. Nothing like pumpkin pie at all, but rather a squashy spicy ale.
