Elevation 7437 Double IPA

Elevation Beer Co. – Elevation 7437 Double IPA – 750 ml. bottle poured into a goblet. 9% abv.
Appearance: Pours copper with a clear body and a lasting white susdy head.
Aroma: Pine, grapefruit, then sweeter fruits like mango and pineapple.
Taste: Initial piney bitterness that pummels for long after the sip, toasty pale malt, finishing off with more hop craziness. I had imagined this would have a wheel barrow full of caramel malt, was surprised to find it subtly sweet.
Mouthfeel: Full bodied modest carbonation.
Overall: Pretty awesome and crazy bitter. Easily the best double IPA I can think of out of Colorado, and there is pretty tough competition there. Hopefully they make this every year, or rebrand it into regular rotation. Cheers to 1 year!
