Dogfish Head Victory Stone Saison Du Buff
From Dogfish Head – The idea for this beer germinated way back in 2003 when the three guys (Sam from Dogfish, Greg from Stone and Bill from Victory) formed the BUFF alliance (Brewers United for Freedom of Flavor) – a noble endeavor with the goal to highlight the passion and camaraderie of the American craft brew movement.
Dogfish Head – Dogfish Head Victory Stone Saison Du Buff – 12 oz. bottle poured into a goblet. 6.8% abv. Purchased at Monster Beverage – Glassboro, NJ
Appearance: Pours a hazy gold with a tight, creamy lasting white head.
Aroma: Predominately sage and other savory herbs and a whiff of spicy yeast.
Taste: Sage, parsley, and very pronounced yeast that finishes a bit minty and bitter.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, modest carbonation. On the first few sips, it was rather creamy.
Overall: Slight different texture than Stone’s, and had minty elements I don’t recall in the first one either.
