Dogfish Head Pangaea

From Dogfish Head – Brewed with ingredients from each and every continent, this is slightly spicy ale, with a mouthful of rich flavors. Pangaea is a great food beer.

Appearance: Pours a clear gold with an amber tint. Not an overly big head, but leaves a nice 1/8 inch of white throughout the glass.

Aroma: Dry malts, fruity yeast, and a nice mixture of spice including ginger.

Taste: A nice mouthful of mildly sweet ginger, fruity yeast, spicy hops, dry pale malts. The flavor lingers nicely long after the sip.

Mouthfeel: Refreshing and fizzy.

Overall: A unique, refreshing, full flavored treat. Very balanced and inviting. I would place this in the middle of a tasting session as a refresher and a palate cleanser. The ginger is used perfectly and almost wakes me up.
