DC Brau Penn Quarter Porter
From DC Brau – Penn Quarter Porter was our first in a line of draft and 22oz bomber limited-release beers, and it’s a robust porter! In the way that The Public™ is on the line between a pale ale and an IPA, this is on the line between a porter and a stout – with chocolate notes and a dry, roasted finish.
DC Brau Brewing – DC Brau Penn Quarter Porter – 22 oz. bottle poured into a goblet. 5.5% abv.
Appearance: Pours dark brown with a tight knit tan film.
Aroma: Chocolaty roast, light hop fragrance.
Taste: Roasted malt, a touch smokey. A little bit of pleasant tartness too.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, moderately carbonated.
Overall: A very drinkable porter, not a thing wrong with it. I would like to try this on draft and barrel aged.
