Dark Horse One Oatmeal Stout

From Dark Horse – Number one in a series of five stouts produced to help ease you through the cold and grey midwestern winters. This beer is full bodied with hints of chocolate, roasted barley, coffee flavors and a nice creamy head.

Dark Horse Brewing – Dark Horse One Oatmeal Stout – 12 oz. bottle poured into a goblet. 8% abv.

Appearance:  Pours near black with a quickly subsided tan head.

Aroma: Dark chocolate, medium roast coffee.

Taste:  Chocolate roast, char, medium roast acidic coffee, minerals. Finishes with long burnt roasty bitterness.

Mouthfeel: Smooth, full bodied, creamy carbonation.

Overall:  A wonderful stout, and the alcohol is well hidden.
