Cigar City Or Black Ale
From Cigar City – High gravity black ale brewed with Ty Ty honey, copious amounts of hops and aged on toasted Spanish Cedar. Part 2 of a 4 beer collaboration between Cigar City, Hill Farmstead, and Grassroots.
Cigar City Brewing – Cigar City Or Black Ale – 12 oz. bottle poured into a goblet. 11.2% abv. From Sebastian in AZ.
Appearance: Pours a dark brown with a thin film of tan tight bubbles.
Aroma: Grassy and herbal hops and faint roast.
Taste: Bitter roast, sweet malt with a spicy hop finish that lingers.
Mouthfeel: Full bodied with prickly carbonation.
Overall: Tasty, but much drier and roasty compared to ‘Either.’ I think I enjoyed this a bit more than Either.
