Cigar City Brewing – Cigar City Hunahpu’s Imperial Stout Vintage 2012 – 750 ml. bottle poured into a goblet. 11% abv.
Appearance: Pours black, like motor oil with a small cap of tan froth.
Aroma: Vanilla, hot peppers, green bell pepper chocolate, chocolate chip cookie dough.
Taste: Bitter Chocolate, burnt roast, cinnamon covered almond, vanilla, oily hot pepper. Finishes more burnt that previous fresh batches.
Mouthfeel: Thick. Full bodied.
Overall: Still in my top 3 favorite beers EVER. I think the pepper was more pronounced than the last two years, when fresh, and seemed a little hot alcohol wise. Drinking very well.
