Cigar City Brewing – Cigar City Hunahpu’s Imperial Stout Vintage 2011, Enjoyed in 2011 – 750 ml. bottle poured into a goblet. 11% abv.
Appearance: Pours an extremely viscous dark brown. Leaves behind an iodine like coating on the glass and virtually no head milliseconds after the pour.
Aroma: Chocolate liqueur, vanilla bean, dark chocolate and cinnamon.
Taste: Cannoli, dark chocolate, toasted coconut, cinnamon covered almonds.
Mouthfeel: A little dusty/chalky, very thick with modest carbonation.
Overall: I was amazed by last years batch, and this one topped that.
