Brooklyn Winter Ale

From Brooklyn Brewery – We brew Brooklyn Winter Ale from heirloom Maris Otter malts to create a beer with roots in blustery Scotland. Brooklyn Winter Ale is richly malty, aromatic, full-bodied and perfect with stews, roasts and holiday dishes.

Appearance: Pours a dark, clear red with a thin ring of tan froth. Lets about 60% light through.

Aroma: Sweet caramel like malts and a bit of red fruit.

Taste: Burnt sugar, tangy berry and spicy hop. Leaves a nice bitter aftertaste.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied and high carbonation.

Overall: A full flavored, balanced ale that definitely tastes like Christmas to me.
