Block 15 Pappy’s Dark

From Block 15  – 100% aged in fresh emptied bourbon barrels. Brewed with six malts of Belgian & British origin. Bourbon in color with a very complex and interesting malt profile. Bright aromas of bourbon, fresh baked bread, caramel, and oak. Velvety texture, rich malt and bourbon flavors with an enticingly warm bourbon finish.

Block 15 Brewery – Block 15 Pappy’s Dark – 750 ml. bottle poured into a goblet. 10% abv.

Appearance:  Pours a clear dark copper with a creamy beige cap of foam.

Aroma: Subtle cherry and sassafras.

Taste: Burnt sugar, alcohol, wood and caramel.

Mouthfeel:  Full bodied, modest carbonation.

Overall: A nice full bodied, bold wood aged beer that isn’t either an Impy or a Sour. Very complex and enjoyable.
