Beachwood Greenshift (3rd Anniversary DIPA)
From – Beachwood Brewing – Greenshift is a gargantuan double India pale ale with a wide spectrum of hops. Citra, Amarillo, El Dorado, Nelson Sauvin, Galaxy, and Warrior varieties in the kettle create a planetary array of flavors. An infinite wavelength of aromas come from a supernova-sized charge of Citra, Mosaic, and Nelson Sauvin.
Beachwood Brewing – Beachwood Greenshift (3rd Anniversary DIPA) – 22 oz. bottle poured into a goblet. 10% abv. Thanks Jeff!
Appearance: Pours a fairly clear amber gold with a white ring of film atop.
Aroma: Big time tangerine, sativa, pine, orange pith. Mango.
Taste: Orange pith, aggressive pine like bitterness, dry malt. Long lingering bitterness
Mouthfeel: Juicy full moderate carbonation.
Overall: Very green indeed. In my cartoon like imagination, I picture Beachwood wringing out hops into a bucket for this beer. The aroma would lead you to believe the beer would be a bit sweeter, but then you are hit with a mouthful of aggressive bitter hops. Very clean, very crisp, especially for a 10% beer.
