Ballast Point Fathom India Pale Lager

From TFP: This beer is not bottled by Ballast Point, but we encourage you to try some of their beer.  This beer was found at Naja’s Place on the Redondo Beach Pier in Redondo Beach, CA.  This is a fun style that has gotten popular by not only Ballast Point, but also The Bruery!

Ballast Point Brewing – Fathom India Pale Lager – Beer glass poured at Naja’s Place Redondo Beach, CA. ABV is unknown.

Appearance: Pours a clear amber with 1/8 inch of white head. Didn’t leave much lacing at all.

Aroma: Honey dew, orange rind and zest.

Taste: Grapefruity hops that starts out fruity but finishes bitter.

Mouthfeel: Really thin, and a bit juicy.

Overall: An incredible lager, probably the best smelling and tasting lager. That’s probably because it has so many characteristics that I like out of a West Coast Pale or India Pale Ale.
