Ballast Point Even Keel
From Ballast Point – It is a small beer with big flavor. An “IPA” with very little alcohol. It almost doesn’t make sense. But sense is overrated.
Ballast Point Brewing – Ballast Point Even Keel – On tap at Ballast Point – 3.5% abv.
Appearance: Pours a yellow gold with an amber tint. The body is clear, and atop sits a modest layer of foamy suds. Once the head subsides, it grips onto the glass and leaves its markings all the way down.
Aroma: Lemon, tangerine, grass.
Taste: Dry malt, gigantic citrus hops. Lots of grapefruit and orange.
Mouthfeel: Thin with very active carbonation.
Overall: Beautiful and spot on. Up there with my favs from low abv’s from Firestone Walker and the Collaboration(Kelsey McNair. they did last year.
