Avery Twenty XX IPA
From Avery Brewing – What else? What else would you expect from us, a bunch of severely hop obsessed brewers, to celebrate such a glorious occasion? Anything other than a massively hopped IPA would be an affront to our rich history of loving excessive use of that beautiful flower, Humulus Lupulus. 1993-2013. 20 years of brewing excellence. To all who have played a part in creating such a vibrant and quality conscious culture, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts and pint glasses!!
Avery Brewing Co. – Avery Twenty XX IPA – On tap at 38 Degrees Alehouse – 9.7% abv.
Appearance: Pours a light copper with a fluffy head that subsides to 1/4 inch.
Aroma: Beautiful dank mixture of pine resin, grapefruit, tangerine, spicy sweet malt.
Taste: Large amounts of resinous hops. Pine citrus and passionfruit. Spicy malt. Finishes bitter with a touch of alcohol.
Mouthfeel: Full bodied, modest carbonation astringent.
Overall: A truly magnificent IIPA. I was expecting a larger malt presence, and was very surprised
