Avery Liliko’i Kepolo

From Avery Brewing – Luscious, juicy, tart, and like no other! Adding a tropical island flair to a spicy traditional witbier, Liliko’i Kepolo erupts with monumental passionfruit aroma and acidity along with a sublimely succulent finish. Sediment may occur over time. Fear not – it’s passionfruit!!

Appearance:  Pours a cloudy honey mustard yellow with a ring of suds for head.

Aroma:  Husk, passion fruit FOR DAYS and slight funk.

Taste:  Juicy tart passion fruit, malted wheat with low spice, no hop presence, finishes with a sour grainy twang.

Mouthfeel: Full bodied. Juicy. Moderate carbonation.

Overall: One of the most remarkable and refreshing beers I’ve ever had.  I am not a fan of witbier so, I’m very surprised to love this so much. Because of the price of this beer ($11-14 a four pack), I will have to get this as a special occasion treat rather than a summertime staple beer.
