Avery Immitis

From Avery – No. 9 in our Barrel-Aged Series. Ale aged in Zinfandel barrels.

Avery Brewing – Avery Immitis – On tap poured into a goblet. 9.54% abv.

Appearance: Pours a midnight red with no head.

Aroma: Sweet red wine, caramel. Very funky.

Taste: Tartness, tannins, dark fruit caramel and fennel seed

Mouthfeel: Full bodied,  low carbonation.

Overall: Familiar to the series, but still very unique for a sour.
