AleSmith Barrel Aged Wee Heavy Vintage 2009

AleSmith Brewing – AleSmith Barrel Aged Wee Heavy Vintage 2009 – Released late Spring 2011, Enjoyed Summer 2011. 9.5% abv.

Appearance:  Pours a super dark brown with no head.looking from the top down, you’ll be luck to see an oily swirl.  Only a micro stripe where the beer meets the glass.

Aroma: Dried dark fruit, tobacco, vanilla, anise, peat, cinnamon raisin bread.

Taste.: Vanilla, smooth bourbon, dark fruit, dark chocolate.

Mouthfeel: Warm, boozy, low carb.

Overall:  This beer is drinking amazingly. If you bought it to drink it, drink it already.  Amazing levels of complexity that have you sipping and sniffing for a good hour or more. I enjoyed this much better than the last release.
