Wynwood Brewing Wins Two Gold Medals
Miami, FL – The Wynwood Brewing Co. won two gold medals in the prestigious Best Florida Beer Championship in Tampa Bay, FL. The Magic City Pale Ale and the Rickenbacker Pils received top honors in their categories during the Brewers’ Ball this morning. Nick Mebane, Wynwood Brewing Company’s brewmaster, Luis G. Brignoni, Founder and President, and Luis “Pops” Brignoni were in Tampa to receive the honors and participate in the weekend event.
The Magic City, is an American Pale Ale with a 5.60% ABV. The Rickenbacker Pils, is a Czech Pilsner with a 5.10 ABV.
In September 2014, the Miami-based brewery received the highest recognition for American beer when Pop’s Porter won a Gold Medal in the Robust Porter category at the Great American Beer Festival. It was the only gold medal received by a Florida brewery in 2014.
