Woodchuck Hard Cider Announces 20th Anniversary Video Contest
Middlebury, VT – As part of their 20th Anniversary celebration, Woodchuck Hard Cider recently launched a contest for their fans, asking them to submit videos showing their passion for the nation’s #1 selling hard cider.
Woodchuck has never produced a commercial and never will. However, now there is a unique opportunity for their fans to design and film the most creative spot. The grand prize winner will take home $2,000, while 2nd place will receive $1,500, and 3rd place $1,000.
The contest opened on August 5th and goes through November 20, 2011. Entries must be between 30 and 60 seconds in length and must include Woodchuck Hard Cider in the video either through product shots or printed words (posters, paper, etc.). Entrants can directly upload their 10MB (or less) videos on the Woodchuck website. Woodchuck will then review and post video entries on their YouTube site where fans may view them and vote for their favorites.
“We have an unbelievably passionate and creative fan base,” said Marketing Director Bridget Blacklock. “We’re excited to see how our fans express themselves in these videos and know we’ll receive some real ‘outside-the-box’ creations.”
Winners will be chosen based on three criteria: how representative their video is of the Woodchuck brand; on the video’s originality and creativity; and popularity as judged by the Woodchuck fan base. A full list of rules and instructions on how to enter may be found at www.woodchuck.com.
About Woodchuck® Hard Cider
Woodchuck Hard Cider is a hard cider handcrafted with apples. First crafted in Proctorsville, Vermont in 1991, Woodchuck Hard Cider now operates in a state-of- the-art cidery in Middlebury, Vermont. The popular Woodchuck Amber is the original style produced and still today the recipe remains the same. That’s not to say some things haven’t changed over the years, Woodchuck now has an extended line up of styles and has grown distribution from one country store in VT to across the United States. Greg Failing, the original creator of the recipe and the cider maker to this day, combines both art and science with his own personal touch in crafting this award winning cider. The Woodchuck family ensures exceptional quality and premium taste are met in every small batch before any bottle or keg leaves our back door. A naturally gluten-free beverage, Woodchuck Hard Cider is also a favorite in food pairings and a key ingredient in a variety of recipes. More information is available at www.woodchuck.com.
