The Bruery – The Resurrection of Provisions and Update on Cafe
From The Full Pint – A few months ago, The Bruery threw the towel in on a retail venture known as ‘The Bruery Provisions’, a home brew shop dedicated to supplying local home brewers as well as shipping nationwide. Logistically, this project didn’t work, and even got in the way of doing what they do best, making and selling beer. Fast forward to a little over a month, The Bruery made an announcement they were going to make a go at opening up a cafe as part of a revitalization of downtown Placentia.
Today, on Facebook and their newly launched The Bruery Provisions Website, The Bruery announced the resurrection of The Bruery Provisions name, in the form of a retail beer, wine and cheese shop in Old Town Orange, CA. This raised many questions, that I asked Marketing Manager Ben, for clarification. I asked what would be different from the first version of The Bruery Provisions, and what does this mean for the cafe. Read on for the good news and the bad news….
Sadly, the cafe in Placentia is no longer going to happen due to a variety of reasons, but we will be keeping the Tasting Room open on Fridays and Saturdays since we know everybody likes to hang out here in the evening. This (The Bruery Provisions Part II) is a completely different concept from the homebrew shop, besides the name “Provisions”, nothing is the same. The new shop will focus on beers to go as well as wines, cheeses and charcuterie. Of course we will be selling our own beers, but we also plan on stocking as many craft and import beers as we can. While the homebrew shop focused on making beer, this shop will focus on great beers that have already been made by great breweries!
