The Bruery – New Beer for August First Firkin Friday
The Bruery of Placentia, CA announces a special cask ale to kick off August, as well as the return of Autumn Maple.
The brewers got a little extra creative for this month’s firkin, hope you all will get a chance to try it! Take unhopped Saison Rue wort, add wormwood, sage, rosemary, and yarrow and voila! Do It To It Gruit. Each of these unique ingredients was at one time thought to have its own use in traditional medicine to help one reach a higher plane. We don’t know if they were wrong or right, but it sure is fun to experiment!
We’ll also be tapping our fall seasonal for the first time this year. Thats right, our yam beer is back! Autumn Maple is a Belgian style brown ale brewed with roasted yams, maple syrup, vanilla bean, and spices. This big beer is one of my personal Bruery favorites so come and try it at the source! Bottles will also be available.
Also, just to clarify from last week’s newsletters, the 5 gallon kegs for sale are by availability only. This means that special/limited release beers are not for sale (so no Black Tuesday, Oude Tart, White Oak, Melange or Anniversary beers, etc). What we’re selling will usually be the beers we have on tap at the Tasting Room. Sorry guys!
Our food truck lineup is as follows for the weekend. Seabirds on Friday, Barcelona on the Go on Saturday, and The Lime Truck on Sunday.
This weekend we’re pouring:
