Surly Brewing Releases Overrated + New Canning Line Video
(Brooklyn Center, MN) – Yep, Surly’s got another IPA coming out. That’s kind of our thing, we’ve heard, so we figured we’d better keep up appearances. But this time we jumped on the bandwagon and brewed up a West Coast IPA in a can. It’s dry, it’s hoppy, it’s Overrated.
Cans of Overrated will start hitting stores Monday, April 8 and will be available occasionally through the year. And remember, it’s just a beer. If you like it, great, so do we.
We’ve teamed up with First Avenue and The Depot to launch Overrated at the upcoming The4onthefloor show on Saturday, April 6. The party starts at 5pm at The Depot (no ticket needed) and the show starts in the Mainroom at 8pm (tickets are still available HERE). Cans of Overrated will be $5 in both locales, with taps of Furious, Hell, Cynic, Bender, Coffee Bender and Smoke also available. So come drink some Overrated beer and listen to some stompin’ rock music.
A few weeks ago we received our new canning line all the way from the Comac Canning and Bottling Plant in Bergamo, Northern Italy. It came in parts, so our Head Brewer Todd Haug and some of our brewery guys worked day and night to put it all together. We finally got it built, so check out THIS video of the new line in action, filling more than 3,000 cans an hour.
