Surly Brewing News – Taproom Update + SeVIIn Details
Last week, Brooklyn Center City Council voted in favor of allowing production breweries to sell pints of their own beer in the city, so we’re finally opening up a taproom at our brewery! Starting Friday June 21, the new Surly Brewing taproom will be open from 3pm to 9pm.
You’ll be able to buy pints of Surly beer Thursdays and Fridays, from 3pm to 9pm, Saturdays from noon until 9pm and Sundays from noon until 8pm.
Also, check out this awesome time-lapse video created by local artist Adam Turman, who documented the making of his exclusive Surly Taproom print. We have 100 limited edition copies of his print available in the taproom store for $20.
Surly Brewing’s been making beer for seven years now, so to celebrate we’re releasing our seventh anniversary brew, SeVIIn.
SeVIIn, a Belgian-style Strong Ale finished with Brett, will be released at the Varsity Theater on Sunday, June 23 from 6pm to 11pm.
The event will have live music from Trailer Trash, and SeVIIn artist Brent Schoonover will be there to sign posters. We’ll have a bunch of other Surly on tap, and SeVIIn t-shirts and hoodies will also be on sale.
They’ll also be a special presentation to reveal the Destination Brewery sketches, introduce the partners who are making it a reality and share what lies ahead for Surly. Click HERE for more event info. If you can’t make the main event, we’ill also be throwing a smaller SeVIIn event at Ward 6 in St. Paul on Monday, June 24 too.
Bottles of SeVIIn will start hitting stores Monday, June 24.
