Sun King Brewery – News for Summer 2012
Sun King Brewery, one of the fastest growing young craft breweries in the nation, shares exciting news on upcoming products as well as expansion.
Beer News
We recently brewed Batch 666, which is a Belgian Black Ale called Sympathy for the Devil. It was fermented with a blend of 7 different Belgian yeasts and is currently being cellared in a 30 barrel bright tank while the heat of the alcohol dissipates and the flavors meld. It will be release sometime this winter…
We are going to release our Oktoberfest in its own 16oz can this fall. We are also finalizing art for a new customizable 16oz Alumi-tek aka ‘Chaka Can’ that we are going to release our bourbon barrel aged beers and sours in…
We’re working towards a second CANlaboration with our friends at Oskar Blues!
We are currently updating the art for all of our House Beer cans. Nothing major, but there have been significant improvements in the printing process which will allow our artist to do some things he wanted to do two years ago when we first started canning.
Expansion
We are in the middle of another expansion effort, which once all the tanks are in by the end of the year, will take our production to 30,000 barrels! There are no plans for expanded distribution because it seems like every time we are able to make more beer, the good people of Indiana drink it all.
