Smog City Brewing Unveils 1% for the Planet Perpetual Plaque
(Torrance, CA) – Smog City is commemorating and celebrating the partnerships made over the course of their involvement with 1% for the Planet.
Torrance, November 29, 2018, 6:30pm at the Smog City Brewery and Taproom. Pay it forward to the planet by toasting a local craft beer as Smog City emphasizes that craft beer is community and activism and both are an indelible part of what makes craft beer a genuine movement. At 6:30, the owners of Smog City will unveil their perpetual plaque, commemorating the donations made to their non-profit partners. See how visiting the taproom on Thursdays impacts local organizations through donations made from sales.
Being an environmentally conscious independent business, Smog City Brewing actively looks for ways to work with local nonprofits that support and protect the Planet. Each month highlights a different participating nonprofit by donating a portion of the sales from their Thursday Pints With Purpose events.
Come toast a beer and raise awareness for our recent partners like Friends of the LA River, Food Forward, the Aquarium of the Pacific, and Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy on Thursday November 29th at 6:30pm, our last Pints with Purpose in 2018.
If you’re ready to become a Smog City craft beer activist, you’ll have to wait for the Pints with Purpose events to kick back into high gear on February 7th, 2019. Smog City takes a short break through the holidays to focus on family and those delicious winter warmers (I’m looking at you The Nothing, Buzzworthy, and Infinite Wishes) that you love!

Pushing the boundaries in Los Angeles, they expanded in 2017 to be a part of the Long Beach SteelCraft’s recycled shipping container outdoor food hall and are slated to open a 3rd taproom on the eastside of Los Angeles in the Glendora Public Market, early 2019.
