SanTan Brings Back Award Winning Seasonal Brew, Mr. Pineapple
Chandler, AZ – Winner of a silver medal at the 2011 Great American Beer Festival competition, SanTan Brewing Company’s Mr. Pineapple is making his way back to Arizona just in time for spring. This refreshing fruity brew is hand crafted to brewmaster, Anthony Canecchia’s strict standards, which impressed GABF judges last year.
As the largest national beer competition recognizing the most outstanding beers produced in the United States, the Great American Beer Festival has been celebrating craft beer and helping promote industry recognition since 1982. Taking home the silver medal was a huge honor for SanTan Brewing Company and has helped to attract national recognition for their increasingly popular craft beer.
Mr. Pineapple is a traditional German Wheat ale, it was originally developed as a signature brew for SanTan Brewing Company’s annual Luau celebration during the hot summer months in Arizona. Fresh pineapple is added during the primary fermentation then crushed and cooled to allow the natural flavors to infuse the traditional wheat beer for a refreshing twist.
Mr. Pineapple will make his 2012 return at the Great American Barbeque & Beer Festival on Saturday, March 24, in Chandler, Arizona. Then, this seasonal brew will be available April through September to the general public both at SanTan Brewing Company and hundreds of restaurants and pubs throughout Arizona.
