River North Brewery Brings Back Wine Barrel Aged J. Marie for Colorado Craft Beer Week
(Denver, CO) – A year and a half after the first batch, River North Brewery is bringing back one of its original barrel-aged brews, Wine Barrel Aged J. Marie!
Serving as the finale for Colorado Craft Beer Week, Wine Barrel Aged J. Marie will debut Saturday, March 29th at 1pm in the River North taproom, at 2401 Blake Street in Denver.
Aging J. Marie for nine months in Chardonnay barrels lends dry notes of oak and fresh pear to River North’s classic farmhouse ale.
“We were looking for high quality, fresh Chardonnay barrels for several months,” Head Brewer Matt Hess said. “When we finally found some last summer, we knew exactly what to fill them with. J. Marie is the perfect beer for these barrels.”
The brewery will have the beer on tap and in bottles throughout the day. Bombers will cost $15 with a 2-bottle limit. River North bottled 120 cases total, so the beer will see store shelves the following week.
