Remodeling our Hale!
(Lahaina, Kahana, Maui) – Work has just begun on a remodel for the Maui Brewing Co. brewpub at 4405 Honoapiilani Highway, Lahaina. While the brewpub will remain open during most of the remodeling, the front room (rotisserie/brewery area) has been closed to start work on that side and to replace the air conditioners.
The bar/ kitchen side remains open for business. Sometime in July we do expect a brief closure so that work can be done in the bar and kitchen area (details on dates will be forthcoming). A full reopening for the brewpub is expected in August.
Plans for the remodel include a complete solar energy installation: 80kw to supply a minimum of 75% of the energy consumed via a PV array, skylights providing natural lighting, ceiling fans, CFL lighting, and other energy-efficient upgrades. Guests will enjoy an updated décor and ambiance along with more seating at the bar, more TVs and a new state-of-the-art sound system.
While the focus will be on the more traditional brewery fare, such as pizza, salads, sandwiches, daily fresh island seafood and meat specials, the “old favorites” will still be served. Customers will certainly appreciate the new menu featuring lower prices and even more focus on using genuine local ingredients. There will be something to satisfy any palate and complement our handcrafted micro brews. “Maui, particularly West Maui, is lacking a fun and affordable place for residents and tourists alike. Founder Garrett Marrero and his wife, Melanie, run a 7-barrel brewpub at the Kahana location as well as the 25-barrel full production brewery and canning facility in Lahaina. Maui Brewing Co. is a truly local beer as 100% of their products are made in Hawaii as opposed to other “Hawaiian” beers.
