Radiant Beer Co. 1st Anniversary – In Person and Virtual Celebration February 2022

(Anaheim, CA) – Orange County’s new brewery announces details about their 1st Birthday Bash, taking place February 4-6 in Anaheim. Radiant will have live entertainment, beer & merchandise specialties, and plenty of grub at their weekend-long celebration. For those who can’t make the drive to Anaheim, and live anywhere in California, a special shippable party pack releases Monday, January 31, delivering the party to your doorstep in one day.

“Our first year has been an absolute whirlwind,” says President Jonas Nemura. “We hit some absolutely amazing milestones for a start-up brewery, particularly in light of the continuing challenges of the pandemic. Our team has laid a remarkable foundation to build on in 2022 and many years to come.”

The Beers

Festive 4-packs of canned beer drop each week leading up to the occasion. Available now is Radiant’s first anniversary beer, and their monumental 100th batch, One, Two, Skip A Few, 99, 100, a hazy triple IPA clocking in at 10.4% ABV. Also available is Premium Presence American Pils, the first premium lager style made at Radiant, and Lovers Of The Incredible West Coast IPA, a beer made as a thank you to all their year one fans. The birthday weekend kicks off with two more releases on Friday, February 4th: Little Presents Lager and their first ever food truck collaboration featuring Radiant x Hammer Burger, Ultimate Combo, a 5% ABV pale ale.

Draft-only offerings for the birthday weekend include special treatments of barrel-aged beer that has been patiently aging since Radiant’s operations began. These include limited availability pastry stout treatments inspired by flavors of Mexican hot chocolate, s’mores, and Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal. On the lighter side, a unique cask tapping takes place only on Sunday, featuring a dry-hopped premium lager with New Zealand-grown Freestyle Riwaka whole cone hops. Radiant’s beloved frozen treat machines – which crank out refreshing beer slushies and soft serve beer – will be running with smoothie-style sours mimicking the flavors of a Painkiller cocktail and a mango lassi refreshment. A very special birthday cake-inspired beer that uses the newly tapped Nothing Compares Milk Stout as its base is getting carefully dosed with pound cake and vanilla, and will be available on draft, or as a soft serve beer, complete with sprinkles.

The Eats

Come hungry to try special dishes from rotating food trucks and sweet treats from local vendors. Each day of the birthday weekend, a different food truck will be on site with a specialty dish. For Friday, Kaya’s Kitchen offers Sending Out Heat, a spicy mac ‘n’ cheese featuring a custom cheese sauce made with Radiant beer as an ingredient. On Saturday, Hammer Burger’s Anaheim Chili Burger incorporates a secret sauce made just for the birthday weekend, along with chopped, fire-roasted Anaheim chilis and white American cheese. Sunday’s grand finale is Radiant Flames pizza from Flames All-Stars, with San Marzano tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, Italian salami, fresh wood-fired pineapple, Italian balsamic glaze and options to increase the heat with habanero, jalapeno, and spicy hot honey.

Desserts from Scoops on Tap and Sugar & Grain round out the foodie specialties using beer as an ingredient. Scoops on Tap will be onsite Saturday & Sunday selling beer ice cream made with Abominable Snocuonut pastry stout, I Say Whip It! smoothie-style pineapple tart, and Nothing Compares milk stout. Sugar & Grain’s cookies are available all weekend long, and Saturday’s festivities include a cake cutting with brewery founders.

The Delights

Live German music from the Da Stube Buben band begins at 6:30 PM on Friday evening. On Saturday at 1 PM, watch brewers from Green Cheek, Bottle Logic, Unsung, Ogopogo, Third Window, The Bruery, Bright Spark and more compete in Brewers Karaoke, then keep the celebration going with DJ JOSHR from 5 – 8 PM. Chill out on Sunday with the sounds of DJ Cesar Gustavo from 3 – 6 PM.

Those looking for fun merchandise will want to arrive early each day. A limited number of funky, mushroom-shaped glassware will be available for sale to the first 30 patrons each day. This glassware is back by popular demand, as it was the first fun shape the brewery offered for sale last March, with more unusual glassware offerings following throughout their first year of business. Due to their limited availability, these glasses will be limited to 4 per person. A gift bundle will be available for purchase that includes a Sending Out Light crewneck sweatshirt plus a mixed four pack. And for the first guests onsite each day, the brewery has a different, special celebratory surprise to offer.
