Old 121 Brewhouse Hosts Lakewood Breweries Collective Block Party
(LAKEWOOD, CO) – The Lakewood Breweries Collective Block Party, an annual event hosted by Lakewood breweries since 2018, is back and this year on July 29, 2023 and will be hosted at Old 121 Brewhouse. The event will feature a tap takeover highlighting all 6 of the craft breweries that call Lakewood, CO home including Old 121 Brewhouse, Green Mountain Beer Company, WestFax Brewing Company, Landlocked Ales, Great Frontier Brewing Company, and 6 & 40 Brewery.
The event will take place from 12 to 10 PM on July 29 and feature commemorative glassware for the 2023 event as well as t-shirts that will be available for purchase. There will also be live music, a food truck, and extended taproom seating for guests. The tap takeover will feature beers from all 6 of the Lakewood breweries to enjoy.
Live music at the event will feature two local acts: Cosmic Dojo from 2 to 4 PM and Myranda Whitesides from 5 to 8 PM. Rock-A-Bobbie’s Outside Burger Haven will be on site serving food from 12 to 8 PM.
“We are so excited to be hosting the Lakewood Breweries Collective this year,” says Katie Nicholson, owner of Old 121 Brewhouse. “This is such a great annual event for all of the breweries to come together in this great city we call home.”
The event has been held annually since 2018, first held at WestFax Brewing Company, and most recently was hosted at Green Mountain Beer Company in 2022.
Old 121 Brewhouse is a small brewery in Lakewood that was founded in 2019. Not only has the brewery served delicious brews for over four years, but has taken an active role in the community including spearheading Crowlers for the Frontlines and partnering with nonprofits such as Chicano Humanities and Arts Council, The Gathering Place, Colorado Veterans Project, Malas for Tatas, and The Action Center.
