Odell Brewing Releases Green Coyote Tomatillo Sour
(Fort Collins, CO) – On July 17th, 2017 Odell Brewing released a new single run of Green Coyote Tomatillo Sour.
Green Coyote Tomatillo Sour is our bright, crisp take on a classic German-style Berliner . Brewed with over 3,000 pounds of fresh tomatillos, this beer has slight sweetness and tangy bite. Subtle notes of kiwi, cucumber and lemon howl alongside tartness on the tongue.
Mike Adams, a Taproom Associate and Co-owner of Odell Brewing, inspired the first rendition of this beer on the pilot system in 2016.
“One of the things I really appreciated about working at Odell is, just like a family, we are encouraged to express ourselves and contribute in our own unique way,” explains Adams.
Odell’s 5-barrel pilot system is the axis of creativity and innovation at the brewery and all co-owners are encouraged to bring their ideas to life.
“We’d never seen a tomatillo beer before so when Mike brought the idea to us, we weren’t sure exactly how it would come out,” says brewer Johnny Benson. “But once we tasted it, we knew we had to find a way to brew this on the big system and get it in bottles.”
Coming in at 5.1%, Green Coyote Tomatillo Sour will be available in very limited quantities as a single 12oz bottle across Odell’s 15-state distribution footprint.
