Night Shift Brewing Barrel Society Release #6 Big Dipper

Hey 2014 Barrel Society members,

We’re excited to announce the sixth Barrel Society release this year: Big Dipper. A rye wine-style ale aged in Nicaraguan rum barrels, Big Dipper pours burnt amber with a nose of raisin, baked pear, anise, sweet balsamic, and brown sugar. It sips rich and thick, with flavors of maple, toasted almond, vanilla and a caramel maltiness. Bottled back in August, its 11.9% ABV has already lost some heat through aging, and will only mature more over time.

Release details are as follows:
EXTRA bottles available. We netted 150 extra bottles from this batch – limit of 4 bottles/person, $15/bottle. We’ll put them for sale online tomorrow night (Tuesday, 12/16) at 7pm – you’ll get a reminder email tomorrow morning with more information.
Membership bottles (and extras) will be available for pickup at the taproom starting this Thursday (12/18) at 3pm. We’ll also put Big Dipper on the exclusive Barrel Society draft line, so give it a try and decide when to share your bottle(s)!
