Night Shift Brewing Announces 2013 Night Shift Barrel Society
Everett, MA based nanobrewery Night Shift Brewing has been steadily expanding their collection of barrel-aged beer since their birth. They are hoping to support and continue expanding their barrel program to make it more of the focus of their production. To bolster this expansion, Night Shift has announced the Night Shift Barrel Society.
From their website: “We’ve designed the Night Shift Barrel Society to function much like a typical farm’s CSA (community supported agriculture). Members pay for our ‘crop’ up front (helping us fund its production), and then reap the bounty of barrel “harvests” as the year passes. Every beer released will have seen oak for at least four months, will be exclusive to the Night Shift Barrel Society, and will come with a Night-Shift-guarantee of innovation, memorability, and general deliciousness.”
For a flat fee of $250, members receive a Night Shift Barrel Society membership card for gifting and “bragging rights”, two bottles (750 mL) each of seven different exclusive barrel aged beers – 14 in total, two Night Shift snifters, a Night Shift Barrel Society T-shirt, priority to purchase additional bottles of each beer, two tickets to an end of the year Barrel Society party, and first rights to renewal for 2014. There are a total of 400 memberships available for 2014.
